How to Make Brand Magic With Positioning Content

Feb 12, 2022 | Blog

Content marketing is one of the most powerful ways to position yourself as an expert in your field.

By providing tips, how to’s, information, and insights, you will help your audience to get to know, like, and trust you and see that you are an expert in your field. Over time you build up a body of work that speaks for you, 24/7.

You may worry that “giving away your good stuff” will lead to people not buying your paid products, but that’s not true.

Far from it.

The free content you share with the “good stuff” will attract people to your paid products.

An easy way to start creating yourself as an expert is to write regular blog posts on the same day each week.

Your readers and your audience will begin to expect your blog posts on certain days and keep coming back to your website.

EPIC BLOG POSTS

Try writing an “epic blog post” once per month.

These are longer than a regular blog post and should be about 1,000 words or more.

They are full of examples – pictures, images, screenshots, videos, etc. (a bit like a mini-training) and are super valuable.

.These will get shared as more people see them, and as more people become aware of your blog, you’ll gain more subscribers and customers.

GUEST BLOG POSTS

You can also write guest posts for other aligned blogs and websites as a strategy to expand your audience and boost your expert status.

Look for blogs and websites that have the audience you want to attract. If you are lucky enough to have some business friends that have blogs and reach the same target market that you do, start there and ask if they would publish some of your guest blog posts.

If you don’t have any biz friends with blogs, that’s okay!

You can reach out to other business owners who have the same market as you and ask if they would like to publish your blog post.

Your guest posts should feature good information and lots of tips.

Just like your own posts, you don’t want to make the blog post a commercial for what you offer; however, you should include a paragraph at the end where you introduce yourself and include a link back to your website.

WEBINARS

Hosting webinars is another way to position yourself as an expert in your field.

When people sign up for one of your free webinars, you will be able to connect with them live, which will help to create trust.

As you deliver your content, attendees will see that you do know what you’re talking about, you are indeed an expert in your field, and that you might just be the one that helps them.

GUEST INTERVIEWS

Last but not least, doing interviews for podcasts, vloggers, bloggers, and traditional forms of media is a fun way to start positioning yourself as an expert.

When a media outlet features you, it adds another layer of trust. When your audience sees they have interviewed you, they know you have that media outlet’s seal of approval, and that’s a big deal to anyone who is a fan of them!

Begin creating your plan to position yourself as an expert by writing a list of what your audience and clients need to know, right now, from you.

I’m looking forward to reading your posts!
